MAC is a licensed venue and our beverage partners are Ernst Hill Wines and Foghorn Brewery.

MAC has state-of-the-art facilities for a wide range of purposes from weddings and corporate events to art classes, lectures and residencies by visiting artists and academics.

Why hire MAC?

Museum of Art and Culture, Lake Macquarie (MAC) is a unique arts and cultural destination situated in a magnificent lakeside location overlooking the Sculpture Park, Marmong Point Marina and extensive leafy grounds. As a long–established arts and cultural venue, MAC attracts and develops a high quality range of exhibitions and programs that are lively, engaging and inspiring.

MAC is available for private hire for your special functions or events including cocktail parties, meetings, dinners, ceremonies, small conferences, product launches or presentations.

There are a variety of spaces with different features and capacities in and out of the venue.

Sculpture Park

Visitors take great pleasure in a leisurely walk in the gallery grounds overlooking the beautify Lake Macquarie while viewing works by established artists such as Richard Tipping, John Turier, Janet Laurence and Jamie North.

Getting Here

We are located at the end of First Street, Booragul, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. MAC can be reached easily from the lake foreshore cycleway, the water or by public transport. Ample car parking is adjacent to Hunter Rowing Club.
