Our aim is to provide dynamic, fresh, diverse art and cultural programs. Contemporary art – the art of now, is the main focus of our exhibitions, and respectful Aboriginal projects are a strong part of the program.

Three major exhibitions, each looking at human nature, diversity and the things that make us who we are.

Explore the human condition through themes of birth / death, love / loss, pleasure / pain and very present-day concerns such as plastic in the environment, refugee migration, fake news in politics and artificial intelligence.

How to apply

MAC yapang is committed to supporting Hunter-based artists. Expressions of interest from artists, curators, groups or touring agents seeking an exhibition, or proposing ideas for an exhibition for the program are welcomed.
