MAC yapang and Three Bears Café will reopen to the public from Tuesday 12 October in line with the NSW Government’s roadmap for the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. We are taking pre-cautions to ensure the safety of the community and advise visitors to review our COVID-19 measures prior to visiting the art museum.
We welcome expressions of interest from artists, curators and groups who would like to develop an exhibition, for the Museum of Art and Culture yapang.
The Museum aims to provide a high quality and balanced program. The Museum of Art and Culture yapang is committed to supporting First Nations and Hunter-based artists and fosters insightful contemporary art.

The Exhibition Committee meets at least twice per year (May and November). Exhibitions are often scheduled 8 - 20 months in advance. The Exhibition Committee’s decision is final and will be communicated in writing within seven days of the committee meeting.
