MAC yapang offers a range of educational experiences for school age students. 

Guided and Self-Guided Tours

Guided tours are available for school and home school students, led by an art museum educator. Guided tours are free of charge and include exhibition tours or tours of the Sculpture Park in the grounds of MAC yapang. Related activity sheets can be provided as part of this experience. Please note, guided tours are provided during art museum opening hours only (Tues - Sun 9am - 3pm). 

Self-guided resources are also available for groups wishing to undertake a tour in their own time and at their own pace. Self guided resources include:

Sculpture Park and Tree Trail resources are downloadable and printable by clicking on the links above. Hard copies of these resources are available in the foyer of MAC yapang (subject to print supplies).


Art Making Workshops and yapang learning

  • Workshops for all stages (with exhibition tours included), attract a flat rate of $150.00 per 60 students for a 1 - 1.5 hour session.
  • Additional students charged at $2.50 per student.
  • A maximum of 60 students can attend each session and multiple sessions can be run each day.
  • There is no charge for teachers and accompanying adults.
  • A ratio of at least one teacher to 10 students for preschools and primary schools, and one teacher to 25 students for high school and above must be maintained.
  • All bookings must be made at least two weeks in advance.
  • yapang learning workshops (indigenous learning) are conducted by Aboriginal artists and tutors in conjunction with exhibition topics.
