Replant: a new generation of botanical art

FionaHall_GreenAntNest nest.jpg

An excursion into the remarkable world of plants in the tropical north of Australia, as seen through the eyes of six different artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. This beautiful print exhibition presents intricate etchings that explore the unique characteristics of native plants that survive and prosper through the climatic extremes of monsoonal rains, long dry seasons and intense wild fires.

The artists represented in Replant come from diverse cultural and stylistic backgrounds - Winsome Jobling from Darwin, Debra Wurrkidj from Maningrida, Marita Sambono from Nauiyu, Irene Mungatopi from the Tiwi Islands, Fiona Hall from Adelaide, and Judy Watson from Brisbane.
