MAC Society welcomes art lovers to our Second Saturday event. Enjoy light refreshments, guitarist Ray Cairney, and stunning art with Darkinjung artist Kim Cameron

Newcastle born, Sydney based contemporary artist Kim Cameron says: “My paintings are mostly an expression of my connection to country through Aboriginal iconology and stories.”

Kim's artworks are usually a stunning combination of traditional and naturalistic elements in a joyful celebratory style uniquely her own. She is making a special trip from Sydney to show and share her work and her motivations with us.

We will begin our get-together with light refreshments 10:30-11:00am on the Terrace at Museum of Art and Culture, yapang. At around 11:00am we will move inside to Studio MAC for the next hour, where we will enjoy a light classical guitar interlude with Ray Cairney, followed by Kim Cameron's cheerful showing of a selection of her artworks, and discussion about her works.

MAC Society is a nonprofit society promoting art in our community. Our fundraising is to assist with acquisition of artworks for the MAC yapang collection. Thank you for your support and participation in our events.

Suggestion: Attendees might like to stay on after the meeting for lunch at MAC yapang's Three Bears Café. Do reserve a table beforehand — phone manager Vicky on 0447 332 148.

All MAC Society events observe Covid19 protocols, keeping us all safe.
