Helena Bezzina, from School of Creative Industries, University of Newcastle, will discuss her experiences of hosting MAC ZOOM sessions focused on art participation and appreciation during Covid shutdown, and where to from here.

Helena will cover the following questions in this session:

  • How can making art be part of a ZOOM session?
  • How did MAC support your ZOOM sessions?
  • What can art novices get out of interacting in a ZOOM session?
  • How does ZOOM help us appreciate art in the time of Covid lockdown?
  • What are the potential benefits of seeing and discussing and making art over several ZOOM meetings?
  • Will there be future opportunities for others to participate in such sessions?
  • What research did your ZOOM sessions help you conduct?
  • What were the research results?
