Selected to a curatorial theme from 2010 HSC visual arts submissions in the Hunter and Central Coast, First Class 10 explores the diversity of the youth voice.
A gallery project curated by Jody Robinson & Tatiana Barisa.
The First Class annual exhibition project was launched in 2009 and has gained enthusiastic support from Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Central Coast schools and the wider community. Showcasing some of the finest Higher School Certificate submissions made in the region during the previous year, the project aims to extend the audience’s experience of the breadth and quality of work beyond those selected for the well-known regional ARTEXPRESS tour.
The project also reinforces Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery’s ongoing commitment to supporting local production.
