This exclusive touring exhibition includes works by Judy Cassab, Kevin Connor, Wendy Sharpe, Aida Tomescu, and the 2012 Dobell Prize for Drawing winner, Gareth Sansom, among others. An Art Gallery of New South Wales exhibition toured by Museums & Galleries NSW.
For 20 years the Dobell Prize for Drawing was the preeminent award for drawing in Australia. It was established in 1993 by the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation, with the aim of encouraging excellence in drawing and draughtsmanship, in the name of distinguished Australian artist William Dobell (1899–1970), for whom drawing was an essential aspect of his work.
