Join us for NAIDOC week to create storytelling artworks with air-dried clay. Make a wall mask and a personal pendant that represents YOU.

Join us this NAIDOC week for a creative workshop designed for children aged 10+.

After exploring the exhibitions in the gallery, participants will be encouraged to consider how they can use art to tell their stories.

Air-dry clay will be used to ensure each participant will walk away with their own clay masterpiece!

Workshop details:

  • Age group: 10-17 years
  • Date & time: 10am-12pm, Wednesday 9 or Thursday 10 July
  • Location: Museum of Art and Culture, yapang
  • What to bring: Your imagination. All materials will be provided. Participants must wear closed shoes

Limited spots are available, so book early to secure your place in this exciting and creative school holiday experience.

MAC yapang

The Museum of Art and Culture (MAC yapang) is located at the end of First Street, Booragul, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. MAC has ramp access for wheelchairs and prams, baby changing facilities and accessible toilets.

MAC yapang can be reached easily from the lake foreshore cycleway, the water, or by public transport. There is parking for cars and buses with accessible spaces available, onsite and adjacent to the Hunter Rowing Club.
