Join Lake Macquarie based artist, Kathy Langlade for a Brain Wave workshop.

With guidance from Kathy, in this fun and relaxed session, you will experiment with different exercises designed to train your whole brain and unlock creativity.

Copies of Kathy’s book, Brain Wave will be available for purchase on the day from shopMAC.

Note: This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. If the minimum is not met your ticket will be refunded.

  • The workshop will be held in the MAC marquee. Please dress for the weather
  • This beginner-friendly activity is suitable for all abilities & participants over the age of 7.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Participants are required to wear closed-in shoes.
  • Make sure to book your ticket to avoid missing out.
  • This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. If the minimum is not met your ticket will be refunded.

About the Artist:

Langlade is an artist, author and educator located in Lake Macquarie, currently undertaking tertiary study in graphic design to enhance her art practice.

Some of Langlade’s work includes the self-published title, ‘Brain Wave’ a creative drawing exercise book, which was listed as a finalist in the 2022 International Book Awards, and children’s picture book ‘Who Stole My Sausage Roll?’.

Within her art practice, Langlade incorporates a range of art media including drawing media, acrylic paint, upcycled fabrics and paper craft. Langlade has exhibited work in Lake Macquarie City Libraries as well as galleries in the Newcastle area.

With a vast range of interests in the arts including fashion, biography books, art house films, vintage children’s books and 1970s music, Langlade presents a range of subject matter including dinosaurs in fancy outfits, comic art and still life.

Langlade teaches in the Lake Macquarie area and hosts Brain Wave workshops throughout the Hunter Region.
