Baubles, Bangles & Beads: Australian Contemporary Jewellery features the work of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary jewellers.

The exhibition, curated by Bathurst Regional Art Gallery’s Director, Richard Perram, highlights the range, quality and inventiveness of Australian contemporary jewellery design. Baubles, Bangles & Beads: Australian Contemporary Jewellery examines the social relationships that exist between the jeweller and wearer, the wearer and consumer and the created object.

The exhibition of over 90 pieces includes individual items of contemporary Australian jewellery borrowed from 15 private collectors including Penelope Seidler (architect), Anna Volska (actor), Mandy Martin (artist), Margaret Pomeranz (film critic and TV presenter), Paula Dawson (holographic artist) and Ann Lewis AM (arts patron).
