ARTSPACE at MAC yapang is a free program for families to enjoy art together.
It encourages creativity, self-expression and connection in a friendly and welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities.
Each session starts with a walk through the gallery to look at the artwork on display. Families talk about what they see and then make their own artwork inspired by the ideas or materials used.
Free monthly sessions 10-11.30am on the third Sunday of the month.
We request that you donate what you can to allow us to continue to provide this service to the community. A donation stand is located at MAC yapang.
Please note
Please be mindful to cancel your tickets if you can’t attend, as we often have a waiting list for each session.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Art activities will take about half an hour to complete.
This event may be photographed and filmed, and your image could be used in advertising and promotion by Lake Macquarie City Council. Should you wish not to be photographed or filmed, please advise event organisers on entry at the event.
Visiting the gallery
All are welcome to engage with the exhibitions and enjoy self-directed activities. ARTSPACE sessions require booking tickets for everyone in your group, including adults and siblings who will be in the MAC yapang studio space.
