Art in Your Community presents Open Studios Artists Lake Macquarie 2022. A collateral of the Dobell Festival - June 1 – 30, with Lake Mac Open Studios happening on 4 – 5 June 10 am – 4 pm 2022.

Showcasing the diverse talent of local artists who practice and reside on the lake and nearby suburbs, this exhibition previews the Open Studios event that will see local artists and makers throw open their studio doors and welcome the general public inside; giving art lovers the chance to meet artists, learn about the creative process and purchase unique artworks to take home. Open Studios weekend will allow viewers to go behind the scenes with Lake Mac’s creative community.

This exhibition, displayed in the foyer, lounge, and café at MAC yapang presents each artists diverse practice as well as promotes the upcoming event.  Here, viewers will receive a preview of the type of work and the artists they will engage with in the Open Studios weekend.

It is also an opportunity for MAC yapang to continue potential professional working relationships with artists in the future.

The exhibition will be accompanied by event flyers, a large-scale printed map of the trail, a description of each artwork on display and an artist’s bio – color coded linking to the map to show the studio location. This is to assist viewers in mapping out their desired trail in time for the upcoming weekend.
