Join artist Vicki Ratcliff of the Australian Society of Miniature Art as she demonstrates how to create a miniature watercolour artwork on yupo paper.
From the artist: "Watercolour and synthetic yupo paper generally don’t mix as the paper is non-porous and the watery paint just floats on it. But this is where the magic happens and wonderful effects can emerge.
I will be demonstrating how I use this paper and my ‘carving out’ technique using fine brushes to create some intricate miniature works."
View Vicki's work, among a range of other artists from the Australian Society of Miniature Art, in our current exhibition A Closer Look.
This event is free to attend and visitors can drop-in and view this live demonstration between 11am and 2pm on Sunday 10 March. No bookings required.
