This is an exhibition of finalist artworks selected from submissions for the new MAC yapang Art Prize!

This national art prize has a total prize pool of $40,000.

The winning artist of the acquisitive prize will be awarded $30,000, and their artwork will be acquired by the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang for the permanent collection.

The MAC yapang Art Prize was open to artists from all disciplines across Australia, with artworks in any medium.

MAC yapang Art Prize judge

The MAC yapang Art Prize 2025 will be judged by Dr Daniel Mudie Cunningham, Director of Wollongong Art Gallery.

Meet the MAC yapang Art Prize judge Dr Daniel Mudie Cunningham

An artist, curator and writer practicing since the 1990s, Daniel is widely recognised and respected for his substantial body of work.
He has previously held roles at Carriageworks, Performance Space, Artbank, Cementa, Hazelhurst Arts Centre, National Art School and Western Sydney University.
